Here are five great smoothie recipes for any time of the day!
As the type of person who makes smoothies for nearly any meal, I’ve started to track some of my favorite recipes! Many of these ingredients just depend on what I have on hand, so substitute with whatever sounds good to you! Feel free to message us your favorite recipe for a chance to be featured.
1. Wild Berry Blend
This is one of my personal favorite recipes for a morning meal, making me feel fresh and healthy!
The ingredients needed:
½ cup of strawberries (can be frozen)
½ cup of blackberries (can be frozen)
¼ cup of raspberries (can be frozen)
½ cup of blueberries (can be frozen)
1 cup milk
1 container of Greek yogurt (or any yogurt)
Agave
First, start by putting all of the fruit in the blender. Blend on medium speed for 15 seconds. Add the milk and yogurt along with a bit of agave to sweeten. Adding in some chia seeds for more texture is a great add to the smoothie. Frozen fruit always works great and usually can come in a good blend!
2. Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Power-Up
Want a snack that’s good before or after a workout? This one is perfect for a midday or morning protein boost. Not only is the smoothie healthy, but it’s also supposed to be eaten with a spoon!
The ingredients needed:
¼ cup of Old Fashioned Oats
2 tablespoons of Creamy Peanut Butter (Crunchy works if it’s what you prefer)
1 Banana
½ cup of Soy Milk (can be substituted with other milks)
Add all of the ingredients to a blender for 30 seconds then stir. Blend for another 30 seconds to 60 seconds. Put all of it in a bowl afterwards and enjoy! If you’d like, you can also add banana or more oats to the top as a garnish. You can also use frozen bananas if you have any older ones sitting in the freezer!
3. Strawberry Orange Twist
Love strawberries and sweeter fruit? This smoothie is perfect for you! It’s a great Summer smoothie for a hot day and is super healthy!
The ingredients needed:
1 cup of frozen strawberries
½ cup of strawberry Greek yogurt (or other yogurts)
½ cup milk
¼ cup orange juice
Agave
Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Adding a banana is also a great addition to this smoothie. It’s a great way to welcome in and enjoy a Summer day.
4. Peanut Butter and Apple
Here’s one with lots of protein and minimal ingredients! It’s a great on-the-fly smoothie.
The ingredients needed:
1 chopped apple
3 tbsp peanut butter
1 ½ cup milk
Sprinkle of chia seeds
Ice
Agave
Mix all the ingredients and add agave to taste to add some sweetness! This is a great smoothie to make if you have minimal time or just want a smaller snack. Feel free to modify with different types of milk or sweeteners!
5. Blackberry and Raspberry Smoothie
This one is super easy and you can find a mix for the fruit in the frozen food section at the store. Fresh fruit works too, but the texture is thicker with frozen fruit! It’s super easy as a snack smoothie in between meals.
The ingredients needed:
1 cup frozen blackberries
1 cup frozen blackberries
1.5 cups milk
1 scoop vanilla ice-cream
1 vanilla Greek yogurt (optional)
Agave (optional)
This smoothie is one of my favorites and is a bit of a sweeter smoothie. If you don’t have vanilla ice-cream you can use yogurt as a substitute!
