What’s going on along H Street? New developments and restaurants opening? H Street might just be the new up and coming neighborhood in DC!
The H Street neighborhood was one of Washington’s earliest and busiest commercial districts. That quickly went into decline after World War II and businesses in the corridor were severely damaged during the 1968 riots. It’s recovery only started in the 21st century.
H Street soon became an Arts and Entertainment District in the mid-2000s with dance studios, performance spaces, local boutiques, and art galleries.
2016, however, is a new era for H Street Corridor. 14 residential buildings are currently being developed with a total of 1,458 units. With new restaurants, entertainment, and grocery shops opening in early 2017, H Street Corridor will soon be a neighborhood of choice for settling down!
Residential buildings are likely to open between 2017 and 2018 with leasing options available starting this year. This neighborhood will surely be packed and completed by 2018.
Get ready for this new neighborhood coming to the District!
