Areas of Maryland’s coveted Eastern Shore region (counties Caroline, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, and Wicomico) have shown marked improvement over previous years. Queen Anne’s county has the lowest days on market for this area with a turnaround period of only ninety days. Dorchester and Caroline County both saw an increase in median sales prices with Dorchester reporting a twenty-eight percent increase and Caroline County experiencing a twenty-three percent increase compared to the same month last year. All counties are selling homes at extremely close to list price, with each achieving over a ninety percent similarity between the prices. These developments, along with other positive economic news, indicate the strength of the real estate market, which is expected to continue to do well throughout the summer.
